Billy Jones was elected to the Assembly in 2016 to represent the 115th District, comprised of Clinton and Franklin counties, as well as the towns of Brasher, Hopkinton, Lawrence and Piercefield in St. Lawrence County.
After graduating high school, Billy ran his family’s dairy farm and has worked as a correction officer with the New York State Department of Corrections since 1996. Billy served as mayor of Chateaugay from 2009 to 2013 and as a Franklin County legislator starting in 2010, becoming chairman in 2013. During his tenure, Billy successfully reformed ethics laws to make government more transparent.
